We are looking for applicants to review performances on 27th November 2021 at The Chelmsford Fringe Festival - the competition is open to anyone age 8 upwards. There is a £5 administration fee to enter.
Applicants must have an interest in the Arts and live performance and be confident enough to attend a performance, take notes, and, if appropriate, take the opportunity to talk to the performers or director.
This is a unique chance to develop your critical thinking and step over from being a passive viewer into a constructive critique, with an aim to communicate your valuable observations from the perspective of the audience.
The best reviews will be published in the Essex Chronicle.
The performances are taking place on the 27th of November at The Chelmsford Fringe Festival. A mix of free-access and public performances are available together with ticketed performances.
The group ages are divided as:
8 to 12
13 to 16
16 to 21
22 to 30
31 to 45
46 to 60
65 and older
Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult to attend a performance to review. If you are under 18, an adult or guardian must provide their full details, including their name, address, date of birth and relationship to you. They must also confirm they are happy to accompany you to your chosen performance; these details will be uploaded with your application.
The competition is open to anyone from the age of 8.
Chosen reviews will be published in the Essex Chronicle with a credit to you as the reviewer, and may be used in future advertising of the company you have reviewed.
We encourage you to make contact with any performers or directors with any questions you may have. They are usually happy to have a chat!
If you would like to be a part of this exciting project and have your work published, please send us an email with your details here.
Please note that any attendees under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian, and must be accompanied by the same person when attending a performance.
See terms and conditions for full information.
