Come and enjoy performances from four local bands and musicians on Chelmsford High Street this Friday.

We're kicking off at 7pm and there are paid seats in front of the stage.

Jack Browning (solo acoustic Americana)

Jack divides his time between the art studio and the music studio; predominantly a self-taught guitarist and singer, he has spent the years since leaving college in 2016 touring in several bands, playing gigs to thousands around the UK and Europe.

In 2018, Jack became enamoured with the people and history of the American West, through correspondence with contemporary Western artists and a short trip to the United States in the winter of that year.

Jack enjoys playing the Lap Steel, Mandolin, Bass, and the Banjo, and these can all be heard on the recordings he has made thus far.

Armoured Man (fired-up alt folk duo)

Armoured Man are a multi-instrumental folk duo from the flatlands of East Anglia.Rooted in the storytelling traditions of folk songwriting, Armoured Man’s sound fuses English and Celtic folk with elements of alternative rock and the nervy energy of post-hardcore. Formed in 2015 in Castelló de la Plana, on the Valencian plain, Adam Thomas and Lewis Berale initially performed as Natives, earning a dedicated local following thanks to their intense, visceral live shows.

On returning to Essex in 2018, the pair continued to produce songs exploring the dysfunctional relationship between humans and the natural world, as well as between humans and themselves. Their first full-length album, Natives, features songs written in Spain and England, and was recorded during the global pandemic of 2020

The Hardy Perennials (literature based folk band )

The Hardy Perennials are a four-piece folk band based in Essex, headed by songwriter Joe Harvey. Initially performing Thomas Hardy poems set to simple folk melodies, the group have gone on to write their own material and perform at a range of local venues and folk festivals in Essex.

Fraser Morgan Band (troubadour style Rock band)

Fraser Morgan; a Singer-Songwriter from Essex who brings to the stage high levels of both energy and showmanship via his solo, duo and band shows.Keeping you on your toes and captivated with his acoustic-folk-punk sound, Fraser delivers a performance that is often compared to as if Frank Turner, Jamie T and Nizlopi were all to have some sort of weird love-child together, and Fraser was the end result.

Fraser Morgan is an active gigger having played over 675 gigs to-date. Throughout his performance, Fraser keeps the crowd laughing with his humorous one-liners between songs whilst also speaking important messages of mental health within the songs themselves.

If you want to leave a show with an ache in your leg from jumping and a smile on your face, then a Fraser Morgan show is where you need to be
