Competition
Chelmsford Fringe Festival 2022 invites you to participate in their first-ever Short Film Competition.
​
The short films can be in any genre, any style and on any subject. It has to be the result of genuine collaboration and it must be the original work of the entrant(s).
​
The length can’t exceed 15 minutes, including credits.
If you are selected, you will participate in the competition that will be taking place during the Chelmsford Fringe Festival at Anglia Ruskin University on the 14th of July 2022 where you will compete in ten categories.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR SHORT FILM

Fill out the online entry form below.

Upload your short film online on a Video Host Platform like Youtube or Vimeo and share the link with us. (if it's a private view please provide the credentials).

Pay the participation fee of £50.

Refer another short film get 50% off.

Refer two or more to get free participation.

If your short film is selected, you must comply with the Chelmsford Fringe Festival Short Film Competition Terms & Conditions.

Please note:
If you get selected the short film will have to follow different technical requirements and might have to export your short film in a different format - full details will be provided.
You must complete the entry form with a working link before the 24th of June 2022 at 23:59.
You will be notified within 72 hours if excepted.
Paying the entry fee to participate does not secure a place in the selected short films at the final awards for the Chelmsford Fringe Festival but it will be shown online to all and will be put as part of the "Viewer's Choice Awards 2022."
Terms and conditions of entry

Films can be in any genre and style and up to 15’00” in length.

Entries must be suitable for a general audience.

The organisers reserve the right to reject entries deemed to be unsuitable.

Entries must be the work of the individual or group submitting them and should be accompanied by a short statement giving basic information on how the film was funded, including any grants or assistance from public bodies (e.g. Film London or other regional agencies, borough schemes, etc.).

The short films that make it to the competitions should be able to send at least one representative to be part of the competition on the 14th of July, 2022.

The screenings will be scheduled to take place in the afternoon.

The closing date for entries is 24th June 2022 - 23.59.

The notification date for the selection of the films that will participate in the Short Film Competition will be 72 hours after receiving the application.

The judges’ decision will be final during the evening of the Short Film Competition.
